What to write

Keep it honest. Keep it human.

You do not need to sound polished. In fact, please do not. The best reviews are the ones that sound like a real person who got something useful and wants the next person to know.

What helped?

Was it Bob, The PR Firm, The Gate, the machine, the Operator, the food work, or finally understanding why willpower kept collapsing?

What changed?

Did you stop drinking, reduce sugar, cook again, sleep better, feel clearer, calm your nervous system, or stop treating yourself like a lost cause?

What landed?

Was there a line, chapter, framework, metaphor, video, post, guide or book that made the old pattern finally make sense?

Who would you recommend it to?

Someone stuck in the drinking loop? Someone under load? Someone tired of self-help fluff? Someone who needs mechanics, not shame?

Taking myself through a Blueprint that is laid out for me. Looking in the mirror, and loving what I see. It’s been years, that I’ve been fighting through the grips of my Alcoholism. Thank you .

Under load

Under load is the gold standard for addiction books.

I have been in recovery for 4 years, and have read countless addiction/ recovery/ self-help books.

Under load wins hands down. It moved the needle for me in a way the other books did not.

No nonsense

Ian is honest, straight to the point, not judgemental. He offers a solid alternative to classic approaches. No nonsense, crystal clear, in his own language.

Truth, Plain and Simple

“Freedom makes the cage visible.” “Alcohol is a Category 1 carcinogen.” Terse lines like that help me through the hard moments. I first tuned in to your descriptions of Bob and his PR firm, along with Glucifer and his long reach into the candy cupboard. Then, I tuned into your presentation of the processes of addictive drinking and the supports for physical, social and mental recovery. Well done you. Glucifer is not alone in having a long reach. Yours is helpful.

Honest, insightful, lived experience support

Ian’s ‘been there’ , knows the pain, excuses, suffering. He’s brutally honest, tough love type. His words are warm, touch a nerve but leave you feeling stronger, more able to stay aligned. There’s no BS, no pretence, just exactly what you need to hear.
